Inner Revolution Society works with facilities to enhance their treatment environment, to help build resilience and promote the mental health of girls and women in recovery and abusive situations.
Most of us who have “been in the rooms” have heard the same through-lines in people’s story of addiction: self esteem issues, difficulty with trust, obsessive and anxious thoughts of past and future events, a loss of hope, and more. We believe our workshops can help to build a strong foundation in overcoming these inner issues that plague addicts.
Improv helps foster courage in expressing one’s own point of view, accepting “mistakes” as gifts, and communicating our wants and needs more effectively. We teach the skills and importance of confidence, acceptance and friendship.
Our Recovery Improv Workshops promote active listening, reacting honestly, and working effectively within a group while trusting one’s own instincts. We strive to create a supportive and safe environment as the basis for internal growth.
Meditation, or mindfulness, is a powerful tool in bringing calmness and focus to our lives. We at Inner Revolution Society believe the practice of meditation is an important support to the challenges of our daily lives. The result of meditation can aid us in dealing more effectively with situations as they arise, in the moment, with peacefulness, strength and confidence.
Our Meditation Workshops are suited for every level of meditator, no experience required!
